Thomsonfly was founded in Luton in 1962 as Euravia, two years later it became Britannia. Thomsonfly is part of TUI AG, the largest tourism and travel services group in the world, which is based in Hanover, Germany. TUI AG also includes TUI UK which has brands including Thomson - the UK's largest tour operator and Thomson Travel Shops - the UKs biggest travel agency as well as owning the German airline Hapag-Lyoyd and the French airline Corsair among others. Thomsonfly has a fleet of 47 aircraft and carries over 8 million passengers each year from 24 UK airports to over 80 destinations in 37 countries.
