British Airways is the largest airline in the United Kingdom, the third largest in Europe, and flies all across the world. British Airways is a member of the international alliance 'oneworld'. Its main hubs are London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports. The airline was established in 1974 by the merger of British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) and British European Airways (BEA), but the history of British Airways goes back to 1919 when Aircraft Transport and Travel (AT&T) was created and was finally absorbed by BOAC after a sequence of mergers. In 1987 British Airways was privatized. The company provides one of the largest cargo services in the world.
